BRAKE BOOSTER - TRIAL-BIKES

BRAKE BOOSTER

The brake booster is an arch-shaped part that connects both cylinders on a rim brake. It’s used to increase stiffness, reducing the fork/frame’s flex, improving performance and lever feel.

Installing a brake booster is specially recommended on those frames without a built-in booster or a similar reinforcement that helps reduce flex at the cylinders area.

Key points:

· Type of booster: 2-bolt boosters are the most popular, but there are also 4-bolt boosters (higher stiffness increase).

· Compatibility: the distance between bolt holes on the booster must be measured to make sure it fits your frame/fork.
