Chorrillas RR disc protector, designed exclusively for Chorrillas thru-axle freehubs. Its purpose is to protect the rear brake rotor from knocks and impacts against obstacles during bike trial riding.
Manufactured from high-strength aluminium, available in 3 colours.
Description and materials
- Protector developed to provide effective rear wheel protection without adding unnecessary weight.
- Manufactured from AL7075-T6 aerospace-grade aluminium, ensuring light weight and high impact resistance.
- Optimised geometry to provide extra clearance between the rotor and obstacles.
- Compatible only with Chorrillas thru-axle freewheel hubs.
- Manufactured in Barcelona using precision CNC machining for a perfect fit.
- Anodised finish in black, gold or red, with Chorrillas logo engraved in low relief.
Fitting instructions
1. Remove the rear wheel from the bike.
2. Replace the hub’s spacer sleeve with the protector, ensuring the thickness matches the original setup.
3. Reinstall the wheel into the frame and tighten.
No washers are required between the bearing and the protector.
Compatible with:
- Chorrillas thru-axle freewheel hub.
- Not compatible with other rear hubs.
- For brake rotors up to a maximum diameter of 165 mm.
Dimensions
- Length: 82.5 mm (from axle centre to end).
- Upper thickness (axle hole): 3 mm.
- Lower thickness: 5 mm (contact area with obstacles).
- Maximum lower width: 47.5 mm.
- Axle hole diameter: 15 mm (for 12 mm axle).
