Coustellier HS33 Brake Pad Material

The Coustellier HS33 Brake Pad Material allows you to build your own brake pads for hydraulic systems such as Magura HS33, using the same material found in the famous complete Coustellier brake pads used by high-level bike trials riders.

This material provides powerful braking performance, especially effective when used with rims that have a good grind. Now available separately so you can mount it on the brake pad backing of your choice.

Description and materials
- Coustellier rubber material used in the brand’s well-known brake pads.
- Supplied as two strips of brake pad material.
- Each strip measures approximately 54 mm in length.
- Available in two thicknesses: 8 mm and 10 mm.
- Each piece is hand cut, so the finish may vary slightly.
- The material must be glued to a compatible pad backing using a high-strength adhesive.
- We recommend using Loctite 406 type adhesive for a secure fixing.
- Once fixed to the backing, the material can be sanded to perfectly fit the rim.
- Supplied as a pair (2 units).

Recommended use
- Preferably used with a medium rim grind for best performance.
- For wet conditions a slightly deeper grind is recommended.
- Make sure the pad backing is clean, flat and free of debris before gluing the material.
- Lightly sand the contact surface of the rubber before gluing to improve adhesion.
- Allow the adhesive to fully cure before sanding or adjusting the brake pad.

Additional information
Manufacturing brake pads using this material must be done carefully and under the user’s responsibility. It is important to ensure that the material is properly bonded to the pad backing and that the adhesive has fully cured before use. Incorrect installation may affect braking performance or cause the material to detach.
