Description and materials
- New Echo Ti 20” frame, as a novelty in Asian brand Echo’s catalogue.
- This is a new edition that features multiple updates both in design and manufacturing, with the aim of making a light, reliable frame with state-of-the-art features.
- Completely made of 6061-T6 aluminium alloy, which allows for a great balance between low weight, great mechanical properties and affordable price.
- Triple butted main tubes modify its internal geometry and thicknesses to optimize the strength/weight ratio.
- The introduction of a tapered head tube also comes as a novelty, with 1 1/8” top diameter and 1.5” bottom diameter, which allows you to run a larger lower bearing, increasing its durability and frame’s overall front stiffness.
- The head tube is 100mm long and features a front hole to remove excess material.
- Also, this frame’s head tube is designed for integrated headsets (not internal headsets). Integrated headsets don’t require cups for the bearings, but they’re designed so that each bearing sits directly into the head tube.
- The main tubes are joined together and to the head tube with a gusset each, which provides additional strength and stiffness to the front end.
- The seat tube has an exclusive design by Echo, and instead of using a conventional tube, it’s been replaced by two 3D CNC-machined plates.
- Standard 68mm bottom bracket tube, threadless, designed for Spanish bottom brackets.
- The frame has bashplate mounts on the chain stays and down tube, with a gusset that helps dissipate impact loads.
- Each one of the chain stays is joined to the bottom bracket tube by a large 3D CNC-machined plate, which notably increases this critical area’s strength and stiffness.
- Curved seat stays help increase tyre clearance and also increase rear end’s stiffness.
- Horizontal dropouts spaced at 116mm, designed for Echo’s own integrated chain tensioner system (doesn’t require snail cams or any other chain tensioners).
- Each dropout is integrated in a high quality 3D CNC piece, joined to both stays. This increases rear end’s stiffness and strength exponentially.
- This frame is available with IS disc brake mounts, integrated into the dropout and supported further by a brace.
- Available in anodized black with red Echo Ti adhesives.

The 7 Compatibility Keys
Below you can find the main details you need to consider when installing different components on this frame:

- 1) Headset. This frame’s head tube is designed for integrated headsets (not internal headsets). Integrated headsets don’t require cups for the bearings, but they’re designed so that each bearing sits directly into the head tube.
Since the headtube on this frame is tapered, with 1 1/8” top and 1,5” bottom diameters, it’s compatible with 1 1/8” – 1,5” tapered forks.

- 2) Bashplate. This frame has 3-bolt bashplate mounts. This means it’s compatible with Echo SL Mini Bashplate and those bashplates with the following dimensions:
         · Distance between front and rear holes: 153mm.

- 3) Bottom Bracket. A Spanish bottom bracket must be used (with this type of bottom bracket, bearings sit directly into the frame). This frame is supplied with its own bottom bracket already installed, therefore you won’t need to purchase another one separately. In any case, Play ISIS Spanish, Play Titanium Spanish, Echo ISIS Spanish and Echo SL ISIS bottom brakes are compatible and you can find them in our catalogue.
In order to avoid the cranks from rubbing the seat stays, which may happen due to varying crank offsets for each model, it’s recommended to install a 127,5mm or 128mm wide bottom bracket.

- 4) Rear Brake. This frame has IS rear disc brake mounts, so be sure to use a rear brake of that type. IS disc brake calipers are bolted sideways onto the brake mounts, instead of sitting onto them (as is the case with Post Mount calipers).

- 5) Chain tensioner. This frame is designed for Echo’s own integrated chain tensioning system (doesn’t require snail cams or any other chain tensioners).

- 6) Rear hub. Since the stays are spaced at 116mm, the hub width must be 116mm as well.

- 7) Fork. The steerer tube on the fork must be long enough to reach the top bolt on the stem’s steerer tube clamp.
To ensure this, you must add the length of the headtube (100mm for this frame), plus the headset spacers (if any) and/or dust cover sitting under the stem, plus the length of your stem’s steerer tube clamp. Once you’ve done this, you’ll be ready to know if your fork is long enough so that at least 2mm of it remain above the top bolt of your stem’s steerer tube clamp.

Geometry (measured with a 375mm x 35mm)
- Space between dropouts: 116mm
- Bottom bracket shell: 68mm
- Head tube: 100mm

- Wheelbase: 1000mm
- Chain stay length: 350mm
- BB Rise: +86mm
- Head Angle: 72º
