Description and materials
- New edition of the most emblematic Ozonys frame, the Curve v7, as a novelty for the 2016 season.
- This is a completely updated version, with huge improvements on many areas to go back leading the market.
- The main novelty is the introduction of a 1 1/8” – 1,5” tapered headtube design (for tapered headsets), which allows you to run a larger bearing at the bottom than internal headsets, increasing its durability and overall frame’s front stiffness.
- Re-designed stays, now reinforced to increase reliability and stiffness.
- The Post Mount disc brake mount has also been revised, ensuring it’s compatible with all brakes of this type.
- This frame keeps the unique Ozonys Curve design, but now with smaller-curvature tubes thanks to the hydro forming technique, which helps improve strength and stiffness while saving weight since less tube length is needed.
- The headtube has reinforcement gussets at the main tube joint, to ensure maximum strength.
- The headtube is CNC machined from one piece, it’s 115mm long and has a 1 1/8” – 1,5” tapered design. It features spectacular holes that help remove unnecessary material and give it a cool look.
- Designed to use a 116mm rear hub.
- Like the most recent Curve frames, this frame features an integrated chain tensioner (supplied with the frame) that avoids the need for snail cams.
- To tension the chain, once the axle bolts are loose, undo the M6 bolt a bit. Now you can adjust the chain tension by using the M5 rear bolt. Afterwards, tighten the M6 bolt and the axle bolt to keep everything in place.
- Twin seat-tubes design, creating a triangular-shaped structure over the bottom bracket, achieving the stiffest tube arrangement possible.
- Contoured seat and chain stays guarantee more than enough tyre clearance, but also help increase overall strength and stiffness of the rear end of the bike.
- 160mm Post Mount disc brake mounts, CNC machined from one piece, with a large weld to reinforce this critical area.
- Features 4-bolt bashplate mounts on the bottom bracket shell.
- Anodized black finish, with laser etched Ozonys v7 graphics in red and white.

The 7 Compatibility Keys
Below you can find the main details you need to consider when installing different components on this frame:

- 1) Headset. Since the headtube on this frame is tapered, with 1 1/8” top and 1,5” bottom diameters, it’s compatible with 1 1/8” – 1,5” tapered forks. If you’d like to use a standard 1 1/8” diameter fork, you can install an adaptor for the bottom cup, as in the one supplied with Clean’s 1 1/8” – 1,5” tapered headset, available on our catalogue.

- 2) Bashplate. This frame has 4-bolt bashplate mounts on the bottom bracket shell. This means it’s compatible with Bonz Pro Light, Clean Light and those bashplates with the following dimensions:
         · Distance between front and rear holes: 39-40mm.
         · Lateral distance between holes: 43mm.

- 3) Bottom Bracket. A bottom bracket with standard 1.37x24T thread must be used on this frame, therefore you can install conventional and BB30 threaded BB’s (Try-All, Hashtagg, Bonz, etc.). In order to avoid the cranks from rubbing the seat stays, which may happen due to varying crank offsets for each model, it’s recommended to install a 127,5mm or 128mm wide bottom bracket.

- 4) Rear Brake. This frame has Post Mount rear disc brake mounts, so be sure to use a rear brake of that type. Post Mount brake calipers sit onto the brake mounts, instead of sideways (as is the case on IS calipers).

- 5) Chain tensioner. This frame features integrated chain tensioners, therefore there is no need to install snail cams or any additional chain tensioner.

- 6) Rear hub. Since this frame features integrated chain tensioners, a 116mm wide rear hub must be used. In case you’d like to install a rear hub with 110mm spacing (common in most 20” bikes that use snail cams), then you must add 3mm spacers to each side of the hub, in order to result in the total of 116mm this frame requires.
Also, since this frame only has disc brake mounts, the rear hub must feature disc brake mounts too.

- 7) Fork. The steerer tube on your fork must be long enough so that at least 2mm of it remain above the top bolt of your stem’s steerer tube clamp.
To ensure this, you must add the length of the headtube (125mm for this frame), plus the cups bits that sit outside the headtube, plus the headset spacers (if any) and/or dust cover sitting under the stem, plus the length of your stem’s steerer tube clamp. Once you’ve done this, you’ll be ready to know if your fork is long enough so that at least 2mm of it remain above the top bolt of your stem’s steerer tube clamp.

Geometry (Measured with a fork with 370mm x 45mm offset)
- Space between dropouts: 116mm
- Bottom bracket shell: 68mm
- Head tube: Tapered design, 1 1/8’’ – 1,5”, 125mm long

- Wheelbase: 1010mm
- Chain stay length: 350mm
- BB Rise: +83mm
- Head Angle: 72º
